Mansur Gavriel Mini Mini Bucket

Categories:Other Brands

mansur_gavriel_mini-mini-bucketThis post would be meaningless to those who already consider themselves hardcore fans of Mansur Gavriel, but for everyone else, here’s something for your kind consideration. We all know of Mansur Gavriel’s perpetually-sold out Bucket which comes in 2 sizes (Regular and Small), but did you know they now have one called theMini Mini?

Measuring just 20 cm in height by 19.5 cm wide, it’s truly tiny and freaking adorable to boot, something no lover of all things small should do without. Available in canvas with a leather bottom (I think that’s new too), a tumbled grained leather and a smooth tanned leather in a wide variety of colours, you might get them at USD345,USD435 and USD395 respectively. ‘Might’ because they’re always sold out, be it on Mansur Gavriel’s own online site or sites like Net-A-Porter and MATCHESFASHION.

So what do you do if you really want one? Keep trying relentlessly at Mansur Gavriel, and keep your eyes peeled over on my Facebook page where I’ve posted availability updates as and when they happened.

Mansur Gavriel Spring 2015 Bags 13

By now, you know the drill: Mansur Gavriel bags are cult favorites, they’re permanently sold out and it’s virtually impossible to get your hands on one without a months-in-advance pre-order. The good news, however, is that an opportunity for one such pre-order just arose at Moda Operandi, and it includes canvas and soft leather bags that are brand new for Spring 2015.

The only new shape that MG will introduce for Spring 2015 is a snap-closured envelope clutch, but the bucket bags, totes and backpacks will get a season-appropriate revamp in fine-gauge canvas trimmed with leather. I saw a prototype of one of these bags in person several months ago, on the arm of one of the brand’s owners, and it was one of the nicer majority-canvas bags I’ve ever seen; slightly nautical, a little preppy and just about as luxurious as a bag can be if it’s not made entirely of some sort of leather.

The second notable development in this collection is the addition of a leather that appears to have some slouch to it. Previously, the brand had featured three types of stiff leather, but if that’s not your thing, a soft, pebble-grained leather will be an option in the coming season.

Check out some of our favorite bags from the collection below or shop the full selection at Moda Operandi through September 15.
